About
Hi, I'm Christina. I am a city-loving Yankee transplanted to Southern suburbs in two different states in two years. For the last five years of my parenting journey, I've been a stay-at-home mom in Coastal Virginia to two spirited girls, a daredevil son and most recently a delightful surprise of a baby girl. I am grateful for and reeling from all the change.
Life (still) doesn't always look like we thought it would, but we've learned a lot about growing roots in shallow soil and thriving where we are.
I'm a recovering big mouth who still struggles with talking first and thinking later. This website was born in 2011. As I read my previous, six-year-old blog, C'est-a-dire, I cringed at some of the entries. Though I've always been passionate, I have not always been thoughtful.
Mercifully, life's changes and challenges have brought maturation, if not mellowness. The passion is still there, but I am now compelled to be more responsible in its communication. Though there are some non-negotiable truths in my life, I am no longer afraid of uncertainty.
This site-- like me, I guess-- is still deciding what it wants to be. I hope you'll join me on the journey!
Contact me with questions, comments, or suggestions. Thanks for stopping by!
